I recently heard that the US is going to export these at somewheres between $70-100,000,000 a pop. Was wondering if anyone knew if Israel was getting any.

i know nothing about military expenditures, but something that comepletely boggles my mind is how Israel affords all this military equipment... like... where does israel have 10 billion to spend on aircraft? and to buy tanks and guns and ammo and everything... it completely boggles my mind!

I guess from managing money properly. Thats pretty amazing if they're doing all this military spending without going into a deficit.

well to tell you the truth israel dos not manage money properly cos we are buying plains when we should be getting better stuff for our ground forces, the IDF constantly say that they dont have enough cash to buy armor for our GI's (witch would save lots of solders).
about buying the plains:
for one israel would be getting them over a long peered of time (like 2-10 plains a year) second we are getting them with the military aid money witch is for buying goodies from the US only, so other then buying plains what else can we do with 3 billion dollars a year (i could think of lots of stuff the IDF could buy but the leaders aren't that smart :) )?
also isreal is having some set backs about perusing them cos the US wont (to my knowledge, it might have changed) let the IAF put israeli missiles or equipment on the plains, so what the means that the IAF would be using the basic export version of the F-35 witch is not that good.

To answer the question of money ..... ITS A COUNTRY RUN BY JEWS.... DUH!!!!! We are pretty good with financing and innovation. Israel has the strongest economy in the middle-east based on a per-capita basis. Israel issues the second most patents out of all other countries in the world, next to the US. The technology center in Tel-Aviv is more advanced then Silicon Valley. If you had some sort of cat-scan or MRI the machine was most likely developed in Israel, if you have a computer that has an Intel chipset, most likely it was developed and built in Israel (i think the new centrino chip in laptops was designed in Israel and built there also).
