Could anyone direct me to more info and photos of the AH-64 Apache in Israeli service? I am wondering about what the pods or domes on the wings of the IDF birds are? And, what other differences there are between the Israeli version and the US one? Some good pics of camo and markings would be helpful too. Any references appreciated, thanks!!!

Uh, I am not asking about Top Secrets blue prints or software code. I am sure there is open-source info out there about the avionics and equipment fit of the IDF AH-64. And some more pics of the camo, markings and such would be helpful....I would like to model one. That has nothing to do with Operational Security. What you are saying is that the open source info out there on the F-22 or B-2 or whatever else is bad.....baloney. "I am sure the Israeli equipment had improvements on it".....DO YA THINK? Just like about every piece of military hardware they get thier hands on, the IDF modifies it to meet thier specific requirements.

Here's a very big review about the 'Saraf' in Fresh.

Sadly, it is in hebrew, but there's many pictures and some English info.

Thanks for the link. Some good pics, and there certainly are some interesting differences in the IDF Apaches. The chaff and flare dispenser installation in the trailing edge of the winglets is pretty neat! I wish I could read the Hebrew. I still would like to know about the domes on the wings, as well as a few other things. I'll keep looking, I am sure the info is out there somewhere. Thanks!

I think the domes on the wings might be external fuel tanks. Can you show me what you're talking about?

I just found a site with some great pics, here: kfir.hobbyvista.com (this site won't let me post the full URL, so you'll have to add the first part)
I am talking about the domes that are on top of the wings, out near the wing tips. I wouldn't think they would be fuel tanks, they look like electronics pods of some type?

One reference I just found says they are Satcom, which they do kinda look like they could be. But why 2? And doesn't the US Longbow have Satcom without needing two big domes?

US Army's Apaches does not have the Satcom system ( EL/K-1891 of the Israeli company < IAI's sub > of Elta ), since this is an Israeli system, installed only on the Israeli Apaches.
