shelory is on a distinguished road

i was doing some number crunches after a friend pointed out today like many other people that the iron dome is too expensive compared to the rockets it was destined to intercept, and i came to the conclusion that it is not much more expensive compared to other military equipment that would be used to take out the same rockets. and these are weapon systems that could only take out the rockets when they are still on land and are not airborne.

lets say israel wanted to take out a rocket launcher with any of these weapon system

$30,000 for the use of the aircraft (fuel + maintenance )
$35,000+ for the GBU-38 (JDAM)
a laser guided bomb would cost more.
