Netanyahu in Golan Heights: No one should test Israel’s resolve

February 6, 2018

Israel wants peace, but no one should test its resolve, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday during a tour of the Golan Heights.

Netanyahu and members of the Security Cabinet were briefed by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot and GOC Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Yoel Strick.

“I am now concluding the tour of IDF Northern Command that we held this morning with the members of the Security Cabinet. I am impressed by the major work the IDF is doing to defend our borders and our state.

We want peace but we are prepared for any scenario and I suggest that no one test us,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu’s statement comes against a backdrop of repeated comments by Israeli officials that it would not tolerate an Iranian military buildup in Syria and accusations that Tehran is trying to turn Lebanon into a huge munitions factory for its proxy Hezbollah.

Commenting on the overnight operation in which Ahmad Nasser Jarar, the Palestinian terrorist who led the cell that murdered Rabbi Raziel Shevach, was shot dead by security forces last night after a month-long manhunt, Netanyahu said, “I promised the widow of Rabbi Raziel Shevach that we would settle accounts with his murderer.

I want to praise the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), Israel Police and the IDF for doing exactly this.”

Netanyahu added that Israeli security forces would also catch up with Abed Alkarim Adel Assi, the terrorist who stabbed Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal to death at a hitchhiking station outside Ariel on Monday.

“So it will be with the abhorrent murderer of Rabbi Itamar Ben-Gal. We are all with his family and his widow,” Netanyahu said.

A statement of the obvious, which has to be made when dealing with muslims. No one will change Israel's stance on anything by violence, as 1400 years of islam prove. If islam was such a good idea, whole would flock to it, as is, they are murdered if they try to leave it

Ben, Israel always gives quarter. Go Biblical on the lebanese. Finish them and ensure beirut is uninhabitable for thousands of years. "Special Weapons", the way to go.
