There is no concept of practicing or non-practicing in Sanathan Dharma. I am an Avlaksh, we trace our descent in mythological times from Ashwini Kumars, the sons of Brahma, however oral history states Parshurama forbade certain Brahmin clans like ours from practicing the BrahmanDharma or Brahmin's duty of non-violent teaching and told us to adopt the varna or caste of Kshatriyas or Warriors, thus the term - Brahmkhastriyas.
