In his new book, Rise and Kill First: Israel’s History of Targeted Assassinations, Author Ronen Bergman interviews intelligence officials about an Israeli strategy that has curbed terrorist attacks significantly.

Following the 1982 bombing of the American Military Barracks in Lebanon, the Israeli intelligence services responded by targeting the founder of Hezbollah and killing him with a car bomb. This began the Israeli policy of targeted assassination to eliminate the support forces, commanders, and political leaders behind the terrorists, rather than just the terrorists themselves.

Bergman has written a history of this policy in his new book Rise and Kill First, in whichhe lays out the basic philosophy that drives this method of deterrence.

Bergman suggests that suicide bombings have been largely curtailed in Israel because Israel stopped targeting the bombers, and started killing those who were sending them. Once those leaders started to catch on to this policy, they were less likely to “test out the 72 virgins theory for themselves.”

A brilliant and engaging book, written by one of the foremost expert on israle's defense and intelligence services......
Too bad that arafat ,imach shemo, wasn't liquidated earlier in the years of conflict, this might have changed the courses of history....
but it's not too late for ahmadinijad the midget, nassralh the rat, or bashar the butcher.......

I love this. It's a brilliant idea to kill those sending the bombers. Put the fear of God into them.

So glad Israel has a great intelligence security division. The data they can collect is awesome. Bergman said some very true statements. Israelis don't start any killing, but if they are threatened enough or too much violence is perpetrated upon her people, they will react with appropriate force, if necessary.

Read about the Israeli spy, Eli Cohen before the 1967 war. Amazing story. The book " Our Man In Damascus: Elie Cohn ", by Eli Ben-Hanan, published in 1969, tell about an Israeli spy that had been sent by the Israeli government to spy in ... Elie Cohen. Everybody knows this name in Israel. He is the most famous Israeli spy....

Arabs and Muslims who wish to attack Israel are terrified of Mossad. They hide in bunkers in Lebanon and Iran and skitter across Syria, covering their heads incase the Israeli drones and satellites catch sight of them. The loss of a shoe sends them into paroxysms of fear. They never know who's being targeted next. Dollar for dollar and pound for pound it is a very successful policy to defend the people of Israel.

The people that send out the killers are cowards and should be targeted. There's nothing better than a good "Top-Down" strategy! Eventually, you'll get to the point where the only ones left are the foot soldiers... You know; the inbred idiots that drool?

Israel is living proof that Europe´s lost territories can be reclaimed and successfully be taken back.

I do not understand this statement. It sounds like you think because Israel defends itself that Europe can take back lost colonies? Israel is not a European country.

No, it's not about colonies. It's about the Roman Empire, which we refer to as the first United Europe, the predecessor of the EU if you will. It's about the cultural and legal tradition, the light of classical antiquity that never faded until this day. And large junks of the Middle East and North Africa entire were integral parts of this entity. In fact ancient Egypt was a white nation. However, some unfortunate twists and turns happened, the early death of Caesar to pick just one. If Caesar hadn't been murdered , his firm grip on all these lands would have tied them to Europe and all the roaming hoards that took over wouldn't have had a chance to do so. Another argument is Roman law. Sitting in the sand and watching goats - as the hoards did and still do to this day - doesn't constitute possession of land. You have to cultivate, produce, or do anything meaningful. While Israel vigorously pursued it's rightful claim when the chance was there, Europe was trapped in Marxism, leftism, anti-traditionalsm, ahistorism and appeasement sending a devastating signal to abovementioned hoards.
Regarding your second question whether Israel is European is a bit tricky and I prefer not to go into too much detail - but there are good arguments in favor and the idea to join the EU has been voiced in Israel 30 yrs ago.
Finally the migration streams of the past few years have resulted in the demise of Leftism and the Renaissance of a dogma: STOP coming over - we're repossessing "your" lands because it's ours anyway PLUS you'd be much better off. Under our leadership Middle East and North Africa would be an economic powerhouse ! Of course, that would go hand in hand with some necessary changes.
